JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: -

Motivated, highly organized Production Manager to join our team, to ensure the smooth operation of Paint Shop which includes fully automatic overhead conveyor system, pretreatment & spray booth for 2K paint application with electrostatic painting guns with right quality including Field support with right cost by ensuring safe working condition.

Key Skills required:

• Operations Cross-functional exposure - Candidate shall work to get understanding of overall scope of painting process to match the same in terms of Manufacturing Operations resources, their competencies, capacity and capabilities working closely with various functions like Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Logistics.

•     Knowledge/ Exposure to medium to Heavy industry for painting systems & material handling, masking solutions.
•     Collaboration and leadership competency.
•     Knowledge of MS office.
•     Leading the CBS & Lean initiatives in Paint Shop.
•     Drive cost reduction initiatives through organization Business system & CI activities. 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer

Steering the overall planning, scheduling and management of production process for Paint Shop, Shot Blasting and Touch Up (Spot Repair) Booths.

2. Safety

Accountable for IFI ( Injury Frequency Index), FACFI ( First Aid Frequency Index)

WTIFI (Weighted Total Injury Frequency Index), Waste Recovered, Hazardous Waste KPI (kg/hours), Total Waste Generated KPI (kg/hours), Total Water Consumption KPI (m3/hours), & Volatile organic compounds - VOC KPI (g/m2) for Paint Shop.

3. Quality

Quality Paint Shop Perimeter – Current products - CPA, ADPU, OKOL, DAR ADPU & PDI ADPU

4. Delivery

The responsibilities include managing the operations of Paint Shop administratively and technically including operations resource planning, scheduling, providing supervision, technical guidelines and directions to subordinates/ peers to achieve overall daily/ monthly/ quarterly and yearly production deliverables.

Adhere to plan as per current level of PO.         

         Establishment of Standard work and adherence for operations & testing of products

Maintain & Reduce Manufacturing Index as Per Target Defined.

5. Profit

Achieve Budget/forecast for Efficiency, Expenses control for Paint Shop.

Savings as budgeted min 8%

Cost reduction Initiatives & Projects Management.

Ensure Weekly Kaizen as planned

Implementing systems and procedures for monitoring and control of consumption of Power, Fuel, Water, Chemicals, Paint & other consumables per square meter thereby improving the cost efficiency of the organization.

Leadership/Team Management Responsibility:

•     Lead Continuous Improvement efforts through Planning / Controlling / Monitoring / Improving performance on key metrics such as safety / quality / delivery / inventory / productivity in paint shop.
•     Manpower development and engagement
•     Team recognition and motivation
•     People Management
•     Maintaining cordial Industrial relations in the Plant
•     Interface with Human Resources on all policy and discipline issues
